Qigong for Weight Loss Case Study: Day 17

Eventually your patience will be tested while fasting for an extended period of time. What do you do?

Today's video is a follow up to Marilynn Valenzuela's questions about how to deal with the slower feeling of time passing during a fast.

I explain the Runner's Paradox, and how you can use this concept to build your fasting endurance.

I discuss mindset and how to take your mind off of fasting so you can stretch it for a longer period of time.

Note: This blog post is also a supplement to the video above, so be sure to watch the video for the full story 🙂

Day 17 Without Food: Timeline

Day 17 happened on April 8th, 2020. The feeling of normalcy continues. Not eating is completely easy. I don't feel an adverse side effects, am still losing weight at a good pace & feel fantastic!

Here’s what I did during day 17:

4:30-5:30am

60 minutes of Qigong practice. I'm feeling more energy from less practice, when feeling completely full I end the practice. Weighed in at 210.5, for 27.4 pounds of weight loss in the past 16 days!

5:30-10am

Did the Qigong for Weight Loss practices, recorded today's video and wrote this blog post!

10am-2:45pm

Went to sleep to prepare to work overnight.

2:45-5:30 pm

Went for a long walk with my wife. Spent time with her before going to work

5:30pm-4:30 am

Drove to work and worked overnight, patrolling an empty resort. This is busier than normal because of the closure of the resort due to the stay at home policy in effect. I'm looking forward in a few months to teaching Qigong full time and not doing security! For now it provides health insurance, which keeps my wife happy 🙂

Final Thoughts About Day 17:

Very simple final thought for today.

Doing Qigong will give you all the energy you need to live. I can stay up and walk around all night on very little sleep and no food because of my Qigong practice.

That should be an incentive for anyone to get started!
